Instrumentation Engineer (Geotechnical) Kakit Bukit UP 5K ( Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Geotechnical Engineering ) #HYT

Job Overview:
This role focuses on geotechnical and structural instrumentation for infrastructure projects. The incumbent will be responsible for the design, installation, monitoring, and maintenance of instrumentation systems, as well as data analysis and reporting. This is a site-based position requiring hands-on technical work and close coordination with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and execution of geotechnical instrumentation projects, including preparation of method statements and quality plans
• Install, commission, and maintain instrumentation systems and monitoring equipment (e.g. inclinometers, strain gauges, data loggers) on-site
• Conduct monitoring of ground movement and structural behaviour
• Collect, process, validate, and analyse monitoring data, and prepare technical reports
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair instrumentation systems when required
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and relevant stakeholders on project and technical matters
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (HSEQ standards)
• Support permit applications and site coordination activities

Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Geotechnical Engineering
• Relevant experience in geotechnical instrumentation, construction, or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and data management systems is preferred
