Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IDC Architect (Data Center Infrastructure) to lead the architectural design and technical planning of data center infrastructure across the Southeast Asia (SEA) region.

This role focuses on data center physical infrastructure architecture, including electrical power systems, cooling and HVAC, liquid cooling solutions, and low-voltage systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational resilience for high-density data center environments.

The position operates at an architecture and design authority level, working closely with data center operations, engineering teams, external consultants, and vendors to ensure infrastructure solutions align with international standards, regulatory requirements, and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architectural design and technical planning of data center physical infrastructure, including power, cooling, HVAC, liquid cooling, and supporting facility systems, to ensure high availability and scalability.

• Define and govern standardized infrastructure architectures and design frameworks for new build, expansion, and retrofit data center projects across the Southeast Asia region.

• Act as the design authority for data center electrical power systems, establishing capacity planning, redundancy strategies, and reliability models in line with recognized industry standards.

• Architect and assess cooling, HVAC, and liquid cooling solutions to support high power density environments, evaluating technical feasibility, risk, and operational impact.

• Provide architectural oversight for low-voltage and facility support systems, ensuring effective system integration, monitoring, and operational readiness.

• Ensure infrastructure designs comply with international data center standards, local regulatory requirements, and internal governance policies throughout the project lifecycle.

• Lead technical design reviews and vendor evaluations, providing professional recommendations to support infrastructure investment and implementation decisions.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business growth, capacity, and availability requirements into scalable and compliant infrastructure architectures

• Provide architectural guidance during project execution, commissioning, and handover to operations, ensuring design intent and technical integrity are maintained.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Building Services, or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data center infrastructure design, engineering, or architecture roles, with exposure to large-scale or high-density data center environments.

• Strong knowledge of data center electrical power systems, cooling and HVAC design principles, and facility-level redundancy strategies.

• Hands-on or design-level experience with liquid cooling infrastructure for high-density or AI-related workloads.

• Familiarity with data center monitoring and control systems (e.g. BMS, DCIM, EPMS).

• Solid understanding of data center design standards, availability tiers, and operational best practices.

• Proven ability to operate at an architectural level, providing technical direction across multiple projects and stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and technical communication skills.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English for technical documentation and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional data center or engineering certifications (e.g. Uptime Institute ATD/ATS, CDCP, CDCS, or equivalent).

• Experience supporting AI, HPC, or high power density data center deployments.

• Exposure to data center projects across Southeast Asia or similar regional environments.

• Experience in sustainability-focused or energy efficiency-driven data center initiatives.

What We Offer

• Competitive compensation aligned with experience and role scope.

• Opportunities to work on regional, large-scale data center infrastructure projects.

• Professional development through structured training and certification programs.

• A collaborative engineering-driven environment with clear architectural ownership.
