We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene throughout our medical centre and facilities, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean patient rooms, examination areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and other common spaces.
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, switches, and medical equipment.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with soap, toilet paper, and other necessary supplies.
- Follow cleaning schedules and infection control procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
- Pack nurses’ uniforms into laundry bags for collection by the laundry service.
- Handle linens, bedding, and uniforms; ensure timely delivery and proper storage in designated areas.
- Dispose of general and medical waste safely, in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Empty, clean, and sanitize waste bins regularly throughout the facility.
- Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Order and serve light refreshments or snacks for patients as needed.
- Maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Perform additional housekeeping duties as assigned to support daily operations.
Requirements:
- Experience in housekeeping or janitorial work, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safe handling of cleaning equipment.
- Good physical stamina; able to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift equipment as required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Understanding of hygiene and infection control practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a respectful, professional attitude.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
