Hedge Fund Junior Execution Trader

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Execution Trader to support trading across Japan, APAC and U.S. markets. This buy-side role partners closely with portfolio managers and brokers to deliver efficient execution, maintain risk discipline, and support investment operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute equity, futures, and basket trades across global markets
• Work closely with portfolio managers and brokers to optimize execution
• Monitor risk limits and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulations
• Analyze intraday market conditions to enhance execution strategies
• Manage share borrowing and returns for short selling
• Support IPOs, placements, and selected corporate actions
• Reconcile data across OEMS and PMS to ensure accuracy
• Prepare monthly market and investor reports
• Contribute to process improvements, automation, and ad hoc projects
• Provide support to risk, marketing and other functions as needed

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Japanese, minimum JLPT N3 or equivalent
• Strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting
• Fresh graduates from any field of study with the right attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

Preferred

• Experience with VBA, Python, and or SQL
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and risk awareness
• Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
