Head of Operations

The firm is a small boutique asset management firm founded by a former CEO of a major financial institution. We are a holder of a Capital Markets Services Licence regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and manage investment funds in a VCC structure as well as segregated accounts, investing mainly in publicly traded equities, fixed income securities.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations and Compliance to manage our operations and compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fund Operations & Oversight: Oversee all daily fund operations, including trade settlement, FX funding, and daily position/cash reconciliations with custodian banks.

• NAV & Reporting: Review monthly NAV packs from fund administrators and draft NAV reports for managed accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Compliance Management: Conduct pre-trade and post-trade compliance reviews and strengthen overall fund tax compliance.

• Fund Structuring & Projects: Lead complex fund projects, including the launch, migration, and restructuring of funds under the MAS VCC framework.

• Technology Implementation: Manage and optimize key financial systems; experience with Microsoft Access is highly valued.

• Regulatory Compliance

• Knowledge with ABSS and Payroll system

• Handling annual audit of the Investment Funds and the company’s financial accounts.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent professional qualification would be an advantage.

• Has 10+ or more years of experience in fund operations and compliance within the asset management industry.

• Possesses a proven track record of success in:

o Launching or migrating funds using the Singapore VCC framework.

o Managing the full operational lifecycle of investment funds.

o Navigating regulatory requirements with MAS.

• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of financial products and the asset management landscape.

• Is proficient with professional financial tools such as Bloomberg, Microsoft Access, and fund accounting systems.

• Exhibits strong leadership skills, is highly independent, results-oriented, and meticulous.
