Head of Home (Adult Disability Home, Redhill)

We are actively hiring for a client in an Adult Disability Home setting in Singapore and we wish to invite interested candidates to apply the role.

The Disability Home is Singapore's only residential facility for individuals with severe physical and intellectual disabilities, providing round-the-clock care for those unable to care for themselves. Residents benefit from therapeutic and recreational activities that support their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. For individuals requiring care only during the day, we offer half-day or full-day programs at our Day Rehabilitation Centre. Both facilities are supported by a dedicated team of nurses, therapy and healthcare aides, physiotherapists, and occupational and speech therapists.

Head of Home (Permanent Position)
1. Operations
Oversee the multidisciplinary team, ensuring proper training, guidance, and adherence to policies:

• Collaborate with the team to maintain Disability Home/Day Rehabilitation Centre guidelines by drafting or updating policies and procedures.
• Ensure smooth operations by coordinating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies.
• Uphold quality of care by interpreting the Home’s standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, monitoring health outcomes, and recommending adjustments.
• Manage HR functions or liaise with outsourced partners to ensure sufficient staffing.
• Support financial objectives by preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions.

2. Supervisory
Manage administrative and HR responsibilities for assigned departments:

• Supervise teams across Nursing, Admin, Operations, Volunteer, and Donor Management functions.
• Facilitate onboarding and development of new and existing staff.
• Monitor staff performance, provide coaching or disciplinary action, and conduct performance appraisals.
• Support recruitment and selection of potential candidates.
• Assist the Director with personnel planning and oversight.

3. Client and Stakeholder Management

• Oversee administrative/facilities operations to maintain the Home.
• Coordinate with Senior Social Workers on resident and Day Rehabilitation Centre client well-being.
• Liaise with relevant agencies on Disability Home and Day Rehabilitation Centre matters.
• Promote and manage volunteer engagement, including training and onboarding.

4. Administration

• Conduct periodic reviews of resident care reports.
• Prepare and submit statutory reports, including incident reports, hospitalizations, quarterly and annual reports.
• Support budgeting for operations and capital equipment, ensuring cost-effective resource use.
• Collaborate with the Nursing Team to update care and nursing policies.
• Ensure staff training records comply with mandatory requirements.

5. Additional Duties

• Deputize for the Director when required.
• Participate in fire drills and ensure staff compliance with safety regulations.
• Support events at the Disability Home.
• Attend training sessions and team meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specification

• Commencement Period: FY2026
• 5 full days per week (9am - 6pm)
• Possess a recognised University degree in Nursing / Therapy (PT/OT/ST) / Social Work
• At least 5 years working experience in senior management position
• 2 years of professional nursing/Therapy/Social Work experience in the long-term care setting is an added advantage, and a minimum of three years’ experience in nursing home / hospital administration or a comparable management position
