GM - Express Logistics Sales

Job Description:

• Actively hunt for new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and pitching to corporate clients and SMEs.
• Nurture existing client accounts to ensure long-term retention and increase revenue share.
• Prepare quotations, Request for Quotation (RFQs), tender bids, and review freight rates to maximise profitability.
• Tailor logistics solutions to meet customer requirements, such as time-definite air freight or cross-border trucking.
• Collaborate with the Operations/Customer Service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment, documentation (BL, DO), and service delivery.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and maintain CRM records of customer visits and sales progress.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

• Experience in 3PL, freight forwarding, or express logistics.
• ⁠Strong knowledge and understanding of international logistics, cross-border freight (import/export) customs regulations.
• Proven track record in “hunting” new accounts and closing deals.
• ⁠Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work very independently in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Familiarity with logistics processes, operational best practices, and regulatory compliance.
• ⁠A customer-focused approach to innovation, ensuring solutions align with evolving client needs and preferences.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to monitor KPIs and optimise operations.
• ⁠Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-serviced focused mindset.
• Able to support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to projects.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
