GM - Cross Border Trucking

Job Description:

• Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial performance of CBT operations and sales.

• Coordinate with Corporate Finance on reporting, audit, and controls.

• Ensure accurate billing, revenue recognition, and cost allocation.

• Coordinate with Corporate HR on talent recruitment, manpower planning, and compliance.

• Review and approve new customers, contracts, and major quotations.

• Establish and approve CBT routes, SOPs, and service models.

• Oversee compliance with customs, permits, and transport regulations of both destination and origin of countries.

• Monitor and review operational capacity and KPIs.

• Build and maintain relationships with key cross border freight carriers, customs authorities, and logistics partners.

• Ensure contingency planning for disruptions (e.g. border closures, peak demand).

• Handle any disruptions and/or disputes that arises.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as to ensure smooth and efficient import/export operations.

Qualification: 

• Education: Graduate 

• Experience: Total 7-10 years in relevant industry

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

• Experience in international logistics, cross-border freight (Import / Export). 

• ⁠Strong knowledge of customs processes and cross border regulations. 

• ⁠Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

• Able to work very independently in a dynamic and fast paced environment. 

• ⁠Experience in contract negotiations, cross border freight operations and other relevant processes. 

• ⁠A customer-focused approach to innovation, ensuring solutions align with evolving client needs and preferences. 

• ⁠Maintain good network of the shippers, consignees, suppliers and overseas agents. 

• ⁠Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. 

• ⁠Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
