Job Description
Job Summary
Execute merchandising strategies across the store network in the Southeast Asia & Australia region (“SEAA”) to deliver commercial performance, brand consistency and retail excellence. Translate the global assortment and activation strategies into action plans together with HQ. Work closely with the retail teams to put in place effective product lifecycle and stock allocation. Work also hand in hand with Visual Merchandising, Marketing & Communications and Supply Chain to enable Fendi’s DNA and the Fendi story is curated to the clients.
Role & Responsibilities:
Merchandising & Planning:
- Lead all buying activities across all categories, defining and deploying the merchandising roadmap
- Together with the retail team, oversee all levers of retail performance: assortment, channel segmentation, capacity planning and retail activation
- Exceptional attention to details – ensuring every store, assortment and activation is a reflection of FENDI luxury vision
- Anticipate market / client shifts, ensuring the Fendi story is introduced to our existing / potential clients
- Act as the primary link between retail, visual merchandising, central merchandising, supply chain and marketing & communication teams to curate the Fendi story
- Oversee product lifecycle, allocation, and capacity management
- Analyse sales & sell-through, manage inventory KPIs, identify risks & opportunities
Business Analysis:
- Partner with Finance team to understand business financials and the risks & opportunities
- Responsible for forecast, replenishment and budget processes working alongside with Supply Chain
- Provide the tools and information required for retail teams to ensure the best possible sales performance
Others:
- Conduct market research and market visits to stay abreast of trends and client behaviours
- Partner with retail training team to develop product training sessions and their rollout to retail teams
- Lead a small regional team based in SG; Ad hoc projects as assigned
Requirements:
- 15 years+ relevant experience in luxury retail merchandising; University graduate in business
- Attentive to details and excellent organisation skills
- Sensitive to numbers and strong analytical skills
- A great communicator and team player
- Fluent English, knowledge in Italian or French a plus but not essential
