Further Mathematics Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Further Mathematics Teacher to join Furen International School’s high school faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and guiding international learners in Further Mathematics, supporting students who are pursuing advanced mathematical pathways. The teacher will play a key role in preparing students for academic examinations such as Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics, CIE A-Level Mathematics, and CIE A-Level Further Mathematics, helping them build strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and structured Further Mathematics lessons aligned with Cambridge IGCSE and CIE A-Level syllabi.

• Teach advanced mathematical concepts clearly and effectively, adapting instruction to suit students with strong mathematical aptitude.

• Prepare assessment materials such as tests, quizzes, assignments, and mock examinations, and mark student work accurately and fairly.

• Support students in developing advanced problem-solving, logical reasoning, and mathematical proof skills.

• Monitor student progress closely, identify conceptual gaps, and provide targeted academic support or enrichment where necessary.

• Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations, including exam techniques, time management, and problem interpretation.

• Maintain a professional, disciplined, and motivating classroom environment that encourages academic excellence.

• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development activities as required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline.

• Strong academic background in A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics is highly preferred.

• Fresh graduates or final-year undergraduates with strong academic results are welcome to apply.

• Strong passion for teaching advanced mathematics and helping high-performing students achieve their full potential.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and structured manner.

• Ability to plan lessons independently, manage classroom dynamics, and maintain high academic standards.

• Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE, CIE A-Level Mathematics, and CIE A-Level Further Mathematics syllabi is a strong advantage.

• Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience (formal or informal) will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
