Family Advisor

Your role :

Are you a strategic, solution-oriented thinker and a problem solver? Do you have a proven track record working with Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) families or family offices? Are you client-focused and motivated to work in partnership with front to back stakeholders

We are seeking an experienced professional to join the SG Family Office Competence Center ('FOCC') team. The role holder will focus on Family Advisory and will be responsible for developing the business and advising clients with a focus on Greater China.

This entails:

• systematic development of a strong business pipeline, supporting the coverage of the most important prospects and clients in close collaboration with the market teams and senior management

• one on one client interactions to originate business and work on the implementation of concrete solutions (e.g. running of family workshops leading to the drafting of a family constitution / family office business plan; advise on family office structure, strategy and family office governance including working with external service providers to implement the structure and governance framework)

• support client onboarding through providing subject matter expertise on client fund onboarding

• support and run client events with a focus on expert content

• foster connectivity and exchange with the Family Advisory teams in other regions

Your team :

FOCC specialists advise UHNW families on all aspects of family office set up, supporting them in developing and implementing a sustainable strategy and the necessary framework including the design of a family office business plan to maintain and grow the family's wealth for today and for the future. Specialists work closely with experts in topics related to family legacy planning, succession planning, structuring and philanthropy advisory and services, to supporting market teams to onboard family office clients.

Your expertise :

• 5 years+ relevant experience in advising UHNW clients in family governance, wealth planning, corporate governance, strategic consulting, been involved in operationally setting up a family office or worked in a family business context in Greater China markets

• knowledge on regulatory landscape, multi generational family business complexity and experience in working with families on succession and legacy creation

• understanding on the tax exemption schemes available to Single Family Offices, including the applicability of the permanent residence schemes, in Singapore & Hong Kong for UHNW clients is preferred

• effective client and sales skills and ability to capitalize on existing business opportunities, as well as creating new themes / developing new business

• strong networking / communication skills and a proactive approach to working with colleagues across the firm

• effective communication, influencing and presentation skills and ability to engage at all levels, building and maintaining relationships internally and externally

• has the necessary confidence to be self motivated, work autonomously but within a high energy, results/performance focused team culture

• highest ethical standards, integrity and discipline

• oral and written proficiency in English and Mandarin is a must
