Job Description

  • You will assist to oversee the full spectrum of facility operations — from engineering systems to major infrastructure upgrades — while navigating the complex, fast‑moving demands of a healthcare environment.

Key accountabilities

Hospital’s Facilities Operations

  • Ensure all building services, plant equipment, and engineering systems are kept in peak operating condition through strong preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
  • Drive regular inspection practices to reduce equipment downtime and prevent service disruptions in a 24/7 care environment.
  • Manage addition, renewal, and replacement works throughout the hospital — including preparing capital equipment requests and obtaining competitive budgetary quotations.
  • Collaborate with REIT partners and internal stakeholders on facility upgrade proposals and timely project execution.
  • Lead energy management initiatives to lower utility costs while supporting sustainability goals
  • Identify opportunities for long‑term efficiency gains and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mentor, guide, and evaluate staff performance; drive promotions, development plans, and team engagement.
  • Cultivate a culture of ownership, teamwork, and pride — rooted in the hospital’s warm, family‑oriented environment.
  • Uphold all local regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Take decisive preventive and corrective actions when issues arise to safeguard staff, patients, and hospital hospital operations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a hospital FM environment or similar critical‑infrastructure setting (preferred).
  • Strong competency in managing engineering operations, technical teams, vendors, and project delivery.
  • Familiarity with capital planning and asset lifecycle management.
  • Solid understanding of local regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across clinical and operational teams.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, challenge‑rich environment.
  • Passionate about improving systems, ensuring reliability, and enabling better patient care.
