English Language Instructor (Academic & Professional Programs)

Job Description

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced English Language Instructor to deliver academic and professional English training in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and experience teaching postgraduate-level courses or internationally recognized qualifications (e.g., OTHM or equivalent frameworks).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality English language instruction for academic, professional, and examination purposes
• Teach learners preparing for postgraduate-level study, including academic writing, research skills, and critical thinking
• Facilitate classes aligned with structured programs (e.g., diploma, higher diploma, or postgraduate pathways such as OTHM or equivalent)
• Design and adapt lesson materials to meet curriculum and learner needs
• Assess student performance and provide detailed, actionable feedback
• Support students in achieving academic progression and language proficiency goals
• Participate in curriculum development and academic quality assurance processes

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in English, Linguistics, Education, TESOL, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience
• Demonstrated experience teaching academic English, postgraduate preparation, or structured qualification programs
• Strong command of English (native or near-native proficiency)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills
• Ability to teach adult learners in a professional and results-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching OTHM, Ofqual-regulated qualifications, or similar international diploma/postgraduate programs
• Recognized teaching certifications (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, TESOL)
• Experience in teaching academic writing, research methodologies, or thesis preparation
• Familiarity with international education systems and progression pathways
