To continue the legacy of Goodwood Park, we are looking for dynamic and committed candidates to join our Food & Beverage Department.

Reporting to the Master Chef, your job responsibilities include, but not limited to:-

Responsibilities

  • Assist in training the employees, ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum efficiency.

  • Supervise the employees of the department, ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained and continuously improved.

  • Ensure that the departmental food cost & operational budget is strictly adhered to and all the costs are strictly controlled.

  • Ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel’s policy relating to hygiene, health, safety and fire.

  • Ensure the quality of food preparation is in accordance with the established standard.

  • Ensure the cost effective production of raw material so as to minimize wastage.

  • Check all incoming food items to ensure consistency in quality of appearance and taste.

  • Conduct spot check on outgoing dishes to ensure that the established standard is met before serving to the guests.

  • Check food items/ingredient stock and prepare daily market list.

  • Create new items for menu planning.

  • Ensure highest hygiene standards in the preparation, storage and handling of food in compliance with regulations and industry standards.

  • Ensure electrical, mechanical equipment and utensils are in operation and properly maintained.

  • Prepare the weekly duty roster to maximise employees’ productivity.

  • Keep abreast of new products to improve on creativity and quality. Be innovative.

  • Provide recommendation for food promotions, new menus etc.

  • Maintain an accurate food recipe data.

  • Conduct interviews and makes selection of new applicants.

  • Conduct disciplinary action of staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Chinese culinary experience in the same capacity

  • Must have the ability to create and present innovative ideas in culinary production and decorations.

  • Possess good leadership and organising skills.

  • Result oriented with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.

  • Highly creative and has keen eyes for details.

  • Able to commence work within short notice would be advantageous.
