Cloud Wintel Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Cloud Wintel Engineer with strong Windows administration skills and hands-on exposure to AWS environments. The role focuses on supporting and maintaining Windows-based workloads across on-premises and cloud platforms, with emphasis on security, compliance, and operational stability in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 operational support for Windows Server (2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022) across on-prem and AWS environments
• Administer and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, WSUS, and Windows clustering
• Handle incidents and service requests via ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira), ensuring SLA adherence
• Perform patch management and coordinate scheduled patch cycles using WSUS, SCCM, or AWS Systems Manager
• Support AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, EBS, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager (SSM)
• Implement and review IAM policies using least-privilege principles and IAM Access Analyzer
• Execute and remediate CIS hardening and compliance findings
• Perform vulnerability remediation (VMS, Cloudscape) in collaboration with security teams
• Work with Trend Micro Vision One or similar EDR/XDR platforms for threat detection and remediation
• Develop automation and remediation scripts using PowerShell, AWS CLI, and SSM Documents
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
• Support audits, disaster recovery drills, and security reviews
• Participate in on-call support and shift rotations as required.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on Wintel administration and support experience
• 2+ years of experience supporting Windows workloads on AWS
• Strong understanding of IAM roles, security groups, S3 policies, and CloudWatch monitoring
• Experience with security and hardening frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks
• Familiarity with tools such as Trend Micro Vision One, Qualys/Tenable, AWS Config, and AWS Systems Manager
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and operational tasks
• Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for Windows servers
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing systems.
