Cloud Solutions Architect

The Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions that align with business and technical requirements. This role acts as the bridge between business needs and technical execution — guiding teams through cloud adoption, modernization, and optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Design

• Design and implement end-to-end cloud solutions (on AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures aligned with industry best practices.
• Create reference architectures, frameworks, and technical blueprints.
• Ensure architecture supports business continuity, compliance, and data governance.
• Define the organization’s cloud strategy, roadmap, and migration plan.
• Assess existing infrastructure and recommend modernization opportunities.
• Work with stakeholders to align cloud initiatives with business goals and ROI targets.

Cloud Migration & Implementation

• Lead and manage migration of on-premise applications and data to the cloud.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, and engineering teams to ensure smooth deployments.
• Optimize application performance post-migration through tuning and automation.

Security & Compliance

• Design and enforce security architectures (IAM, encryption, network security).
• Ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g., PDPA, MAS TRM) and industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Work closely with InfoSec teams on threat modeling and risk management.

Cost & Performance Optimization

• Monitor cloud usage and costs, implementing FinOps best practices.
• Recommend solutions for cost reduction and performance improvements.
• Establish governance models for resource provisioning and scaling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7–10 years of IT experience, with 3–5 years in cloud architecture or engineering.
• Professional certifications such as:
  AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  Google Professional Cloud Architect
