Reporting to the Director of Catering, your job responsibilities include, but not limited to:-

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for securing maximum banquet and restaurant sales for the hotel. 

Conduct weekly sales calls and visits to establish contacts and promote the Hotel’s function rooms, dining facilities (including Min Jiang at Dempsey) and outside catering businesses.

Establish contact with corporate clients and travel agents to promote the Hotel’s banquet and dining facilities as well as long-term contracts for continuous business. 

Maintain and update all accounts and bookings in Opera Sales & Catering System as well as existing clients’ database. 

Establish and maintain contracts with corporate accounts and travel agents for continuous business.

Promote and nurture good relationships with key accounts of the hotel and other sources of potential business. 

Follow up on prospect and tentative bookings to close sales or confirm the bookings.

Preparation and close follow-up of Event Orders.

Assist in coming up with marketing strategies to strengthen the hotel’s market position in targeted segments.

Knowledgeable and well-informed with competitors’ activities.

Keep abreast of new concepts internationally and recommends new concepts, themes, set up arrangements, etc.

Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the management.

Requirements:

Minimum a Diploma level qualification or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years’ exposure in Catering Sales, those with hospitality experience would be an advantage.

Resourceful and able to work independently.

Collaborative and good team player.
