Case Management Officer (Cardiac, Thoracic & Vascular Surgery) @ WEST #HFT

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-operative coordination: Arrange investigations, OT slots, admissions, logistics, and liaise with internal/external departments and referring hospitals. Provide patient education and financial counselling support.

• Meeting & audit support: Coordinate division meetings, track outcomes, prepare reports (e.g., M&M, procedural audits), and assist with PRL submissions.

• Patient education: Guide patients and families on admission processes, pre-op tests, medication instructions, financial matters, peri-operative expectations, and post-discharge care.

• Post-operative coordination: Act as liaison between families and care teams; support discharge planning, follow-ups, billing adjustments, and clinical queries.

• Data management: Maintain databases (e.g., OT utilisation, waiting lists), perform data entry (e.g., REDCap), and assist with basic analysis and audits.

• Clinic management: Manage clinic scheduling, force-bookings, closures, surgeon support, and patient appointments.

Requirements:

• Degree in Life Sciences or Nursing / relevant disciplines

• Advantage: BCLS instructor certification or 5–6 years OT/ICU nursing experience!

• Experience in healthcare operations, case management, patient service, or data management would be advantageous.
