Captain (Chinese Restaurant) - OHS

Reporting to the Chinese Restaurant Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible to: -

1.    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure table set-up andservice counters are presentable at all times, glassware and cutleries are cleaned and polished.
• Ensure that mis-en-place / side stations are all set up with food items, non-food items such as crockery and chinaware before the shift commences.
• Responsible for handling food and beverage orders and serving guest.

2.    JOB FUNCTION

• Serve and take food orders in the Restaurant.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and deliver service promptly.
• Upsell food & beverages to optimize revenue.  
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep the restaurant outlook at all times.
• Accountable and responsible for billing procedures.
• Perform inventory of beverage, linen and equipment of the restaurant.
• Folding and sorting the napkins and utensils in the restaurant efficiently, professionally.
• Communicate and relate effectively at the workplace.
• Comply with workplace safety and health policies and procedures.
• Work together efficiently in a team.
