Job Summary

Join our passionate patisserie team to prepare quality coffee and pastries while delivering warm, attentive service in a welcoming café environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee using a semi-automatic espresso machine to ensure consistent espresso extraction, milk texturing, and attractive drink presentation
• Provide friendly and attentive customer service to create a welcoming café experience
• Respond accurately to customer enquiries by phone and face-to-face about pastry selections, product ingredients, packaging options, custom orders, and availability
• Recommend products and upsell to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at the café, coffee station, and display counters to ensure a safe and pleasant environment
• Assist with replenishing pastry displays and managing basic stock levels to support smooth operations
• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily café operations and timely service delivery

Required competencies and certifications

• Full-time availability including weekends and public holidays as required
• Experience operating a semi-automatic espresso machine
• Good understanding of coffee basics including espresso extraction and milk steaming

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior café or food and beverage experience
• Food Hygiene Certification
