Business Analyst (Bank | East| Up to 4.5k)

The Opportunity

• Starts off as 12 months contract
• Located at CBP

The Job

• Able to prepare test plan and test cases based on business/user requirements
• Able to work under tight timeline and can deliver good quality work
• Actively partnering with the team in the design process to ensure that the business solutions being implemented are aligned to business strategy: - achieve cost savings, design for no operations, designed for low maintenance
• Assess and propose appropriate testing approach, sign off criteria to stakeholders, and get concurrence.
• Assist Project Manager for preparing in presentation slides
• Be part of “Change the Bank” agenda within Branch and SSB platform to bring the innovative solutions and technology to improve risk & control environment, operational efficiency and re-imagine customer journey
• Clear understanding the scope of the project, the changes associated and support the Project Manager in impact assessment. Clearly document the rationale for projects where no impact is assessed.
• Collate and manage all the details regarding the application for the assigned business vertical
• Collate and rationalise all stakeholders’ requirements and walkthrough these requirements with team
• Create testing strategy, test script, and formulate sign-off/success criteria to stakeholders and to get concurrence on
• Develop communication framework and manage execution as part of projects delivery to ensure all changes are managed effectively
• For project where there is an impact, play a governance role in ensuring that the design (in terms of the level of information required from source to core processing) is aligned with the data flow strategy
• May be assigned to other activities during engagement period
• Overall UAT management in terms of UAT timeline, batch run/ re-run and managing the tester’s testing result.
• Perform Project and BAU analysis wherever required
• Perform user acceptance testing activities on SSB machines
• Prepare proper documentation on the data flow, design, business solutioning and testing approach in accordance with predefined template
• Provide daily testing report
• Represent Regional SSB operations as “platform coordinator” for Branch and SSB Initiatives
• Support SSB Product Owner(s) to manage product backlog, prioritization, and budget fungibility for Branch and SSB Initiatives
• Support user community on business queries and guidance on better usage of the system on daily BAU activities.
• To support major annual campaign for CNY Pop-Up for ATM channel
• To support major IT migration projects from mainframe offloading
• To support major strategic cost management initiatives involving insourcing activities, innovate on existing branch and operational processes, influencing customer behavioural changes, equipment modernisation
• Work closely with SSB Operation Head(s) and Project Managers to identify areas for improvement opportunities on workflows, procedure, and system to better managed controls and overall streamlining the process to reduce customer paint points and employee pain point

• Project Focus: This role is within Consumer Banking & Wealth Management Operations, focusing on operational projects, not data/analytics roles involving "data warehouse" or "data science" with specific programming languages.
• Upcoming Initiatives: Key initiatives for the year include:
IT system migration

• Hardware mass deployment
• Data instrumentation and visualization
• Reconciliation and automation
• Seasonal campaigns (CNY ATM Pop-Up)

• Reporting Structure: Candidates will report to 3 to 4 Project Managers across various initiatives

Requirements

• Design/Create Training Material 
• Meeting Facilitation
• MS Office - Advanced Level
• Ability to write technical documents and end-user documentation 
• Execute User Acceptance Test (UAT) Plans 
• JIRA 
• For experienced candidates (3-5 years IT/Project Management), the ability to lead a medium-scale project is required.
