Asst FSE/Field Service Engineer (Perm) #HFT

The essential tasks of Field Service Engineer consist of, but are not limited to the following:

• Plan and prepare the equipment’s as per the customer order and perform necessary maintenance work for the equipment (ex: configuration, alarm settings, calibration, functional check, air refilling...).
• Prepare the necessary documentation for the customer order (Test reports, service/delivery reports, customer specific documents).
• Update and monitor the equipment movement on the relevant database.
• Carry out inspection, repair of gas detectors, SCBA, and other safety equipment’s returned equipment.
• Follow up with customer and internal team on the on necessary quotations, service reports.
• Support both workshop and on-site breakdown calls and ad hoc projects.
• Manage all orders efficiently until fulfilment stage, by working closely with Service team.
• Liaison with relevant parties such as customers, service supervisor, coordinators and logistic pertaining to queries, technical issues, status, and deliveries.
• Ensure equipment turnaround and breakdown responses are achieved at optimal level of efficiency.
• Carry out on site user training on equipment usage and operational.
• Strictly follow on the safety norms both workshop and customer site.
• To provide support to other service activities that may be assigned in the course of work.
• Effective communication of technical information to employees, customers, and external parties in an accurate and concise manner in both a written and verbal media.
• To participate/take up Workplace Safety & Health responsibilities/ activities as per requested by the company.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Electrical-Electronic Engineering or relevant qualifications
• Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in service/engineering position in similar industry
• Process/hardware/instrument experience is an added advantage.
• Able to undertake weekend or odd hours work when required
• Class 3 Driving License
