The firm’s clients include financial institutions, including development finance institutions, multilaterals, commercial banks and funds, major corporates, developers and sponsors of projects, equity investors, government and other public sector stakeholders.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Associate to join our growing Singapore team.

The role includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance and security documents, carrying out due diligence, managing the interface with local counsel, other advisers and clients. It will provide the opportunity to work in a dynamic team, working with different partners, counsel and associates and often working with colleagues from the firm’s different offices.

Trinity does not believe in lawyers having a narrow focus or being pigeon-holed. As a result, although financing experience is key, the role will allow and encourage the successful candidate to experience other aspects of the firm’s practice, including project development, M&A/private equity and international arbitration.

Core focus will be on the power/energy and infrastructure sectors, but will also involve sectors including mining, oil & gas, petrochemicals, heavy industry, manufacturing and agribusiness.

Day-to-day tasks include drafting and reviewing contracts, conducting due diligence, managing client relationships, and advising clients on project and corporate finance matters. The role requires collaboration with international colleagues and handling cross-border transactions.

All members of the team are strongly encouraged to play a part in business development.

It is a hybrid role that requires no fewer than 3 days per week in the Singapore office.

QUALIFICATIONS

Singapore or common law qualified (admitted in Singapore, UK, Australia, New Zealand or Canada), 3+ years PQE, preferably in a global law firm.

Experience in project finance, corporate finance and project development, with a particular focus on financing.

Proven ability to draft and negotiate finance documents, conduct due diligence, and manage client relationships.

Strong knowledge of energy, infrastructure, resources, and industry sectors.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to collaborate across international offices.

Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.

Previous experience working in emerging markets.

REMUNERATION

We have a pay scale similar to Silver Circle UK firms but will offer bespoke packages depending on the candidate’s experience, PQE, existing salary and profile.
