We are partnering with a leading client to hire an experienced AS400 COBOL Developer .

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-impact environment, contributing to the development and maintenance of core financial systems while collaborating with a strong technology team.

💡 Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure AS400 COBOL software modules, interfaces, and system components.

• Work collaboratively with the development team to deliver high-quality software solutions within defined timelines.

• Explore and implement new business solutions to enhance application functionality and improve user experience.

• Follow established application design standards, development methodologies, and best practices.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and support.

• Maintain and enhance existing AS400 applications supporting banking operations.

• Proactively identify risks and raise issues when required.

🧠 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

• 5–8 years of experience in AS400 COBOL development.

• Experience working in the banking domain (payments experience preferred).

• Strong working knowledge of:

  • AS400

  • COBOL

  • DB2

  • SQL

• Familiarity with JIRA and ALDON tools.

• Experience working across the complete software delivery lifecycle.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
