Art Gallery & Workshop Assistant

Role: Art Gallery & Workshop Trainee (Internship Programme)

We are seeking motivated Trainee Interns who are keen to gain hands-on experience in art studio operations, gallery events, workshop coordination and customer engagement. This internship provides broad exposure across art education and front-of-house operations and offers potential conversion to a full-time role upon successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop & Studio Support

- Prepare materials, tools and equipment for art workshops
- Reset and organise studio spaces before/after classes and events
- Assist instructors with setup, coordination and logistics
- Welcome and check-in workshop participants
- Be part of the team in working on art workshop and studio marketing and promotions
- Handle Workshop & Studio communications

Gallery & Front-of-House Support

Customer Engagement & Basic Admin

• Handle walk-in, WhatsApp and phone enquiries

• Support booking, registration and payment processes

• Assist with event coordination and student scheduling

• Maintain studio/gallery organisation and presentation standards

Requirements

✔ Passion for art, creativity and cultural events
✔ Friendly, confident and outspoken communicator
✔ Bilingual (English + Mandarin) preferred
✔ Able to commit to minimum 6 months
✔ Weekend availability (at least Saturday and/or Sunday) required
✔ Responsible, organised and willing to learn
✔ Comfortable with hands-on tasks and event logistics

Preferred (not mandatory):

• Fine Arts / Arts Management / Design / Events background

• Experience in customer service or events

• Basic knowledge of art mediums/materials

Internship Details

• Duration: Minimum 6 months

• Commitment: Weekdays + Weekends (rostered)

• Locations: Chinatown / Dhoby Ghaut

• Allowance: Based on commitment & experience
  

Conversion to Full-Time Opportunity

This position is convertible to a full-time position at the end of 6 months, subject to performance, attitude and operational requirements.
