Accountant

This role works closely with the Finance Manager and acts as a key support in managing day-to-day finance operations, reporting, and consolidation.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain full sets of accounts, including general ledger, bank reconciliations, fixed assets register, and preparation of financial reports for statutory submission
• Prepare and managemonthly group consolidation, including intercompany reconciliations andconsolidation journals.
• Work collaboratively with the junior accountant to complete monthly reporting and consolidation deliverables.
• Review overseas monthly financial report and liaising with overseas counterparts including China
• Support with annual budget, forecast and related consolidation schedules.
• Prepare and manage monthly group consolidation, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidation journals.
• Ensure that all bank and its related matters are diligently and duly attended
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary and government departments
• Prepare quarterly GST reporting and corporate tax computation
• Maintain and utilise Sage accounting systems for financial reporting, consolidation, and accounting records
• Familiar with Financial Reporting Standard (FRS 116)
• Perform Ad-hoc tasks/projects as assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Possess minimum Diploma, Degree in Finance/Accountancy or CA(S), ACCA professional or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with full set of accounts and group consolidation
• Hands-on experience using Sage accounting systems is required or strongly preferred.
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office (Words, Excel, etc)
• Has initiative and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within tight deadlines with a strong sense of responsibility
• Resilient, possess problem solving and strong analytical skills
• Meticulous, attention to details is a must
